NEW DELHI — Avanti Pet Care, a subsidiary of Avanti Feeds, launched its Avant Furst dog food range, marking its entrance into the dog food industry. To celebrate the introduction into the market, the company held a launch event in New Delhi, which was attended by more than 100 leading veterinarians, dealers and retailers.
“Avanti Pet Care looks to making a global mark in the pet industry,” said Indra Kumar Alluri, chairman and managing director of Avanti Group, during the event.
Avanti partnered with Bluefalo Group, a Thailand-based pet food manufacturer, for the venture. Avant Furst dog food is available in a chicken and vegetable flavor in five packaging sizes 400 grams (14.1 ounces), 1.2 kilograms (2.6 lbs), 2.8 kilograms (6.2 lbs), 10 kilograms (22 lbs) and 20 kilograms (44 lbs).
The launch of the dog food builds on the company’s debut of Avant Furst cat food earlier this year. According to the company, the cat food received strong market response and positive trade feedback.
In addition to its dog food launch, Avanti plans to launch wet food and pet treats under the Avant Furst brand. It is also planning to establish a state-of-the-art pet food manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, India, reinforcing its dedication to providing high-quality, diversified pet nutrition.
