Green Petfood is a brand under the ERBACHER food company, based in Kleinheubach. The brand focuses on developing innovative and sustainable foods for cats and dogs with an aim to “rethink pet food” by committing to sustainable manufacturing. The brand’s sustainability efforts include offsetting 25% of its CO2 emissions.
In its 2024 certification review, Green Petfood surpassed its prior performance ratings and is making further progress towards its sustainability goals.
“The GREEN BRANDS Award shows that we are on the right track,” said Rafael Rybandt, head of marketing at Green Petfood. “Especially at a time when requirements are becoming more stringent, such as the European Union’s new Green Claims Directive, we see this award as an important signal.”
Green Petfood also received the German Sustainability Award in the animal feed and pet food category in early 2024. According to the company, its alternative products, innovative production and commitment to conserving resources are what make it a green brand.
